I want to share with you a message of heartfelt thanks for your support in 2022 from the staff of Egbe Hospital. Their genuine appreciation says it all!
Because of you, thousands received training and life-saving medical care including:
- More than 21,000 patients received compassionate care at the hospital in the wards, outpatients, and clinics last year, and 3,000 on medical, eye and dental outreaches
- Provided 778 life-saving surgeries and provided benevolent care to 385 families
- Subsidized the safe antenatal care and maternity services for 400 mothers
- Built a duplex to accommodate additional medical staff in partnership with the community
- Established a Pathology Laboratory and Cervical Cancer Screening Unit
- Implemented Electronic Medical Records with supporting technology
- Initiated the framework for a community pharmacy
- Supported the training of 5 family medicine residents and 400 nursing and midwifery students on campus
- Restored the water reservoir that supplies water to the hospital and college
We look forward to exciting developments in 2023:
- Constructing a new surgery centre and male ward
- Supporting a newly established ICU with equipment and trained staff
- Completing the Academic Campus of the College of Nursing Sciences; expanding the medical complex to more than 70 buildings on 40 acres
