Empowering Heroes: Training Nurses to Transform Healthcare in Rural Africa

2025 is racing ahead—and so much is happening at the Egbe Hospital and ECWA College of Nursing Sciences medical complex in Egbe, Nigeria! Thanks to your faithful prayers and generous support, we’re witnessing unprecedented progress and momentum.

Here’s a snapshot of what you helped make possible in 2024:

  • Built 2 new College dormitories, now housing 500 nursing students across 6 buildings
  • Advanced construction on a brand-new Surgery Center, including dedicated wards for men, women, and children
  • Shipped 3 more 40-foot containers, delivering solar panels, critical medical supplies, and construction materials
  • Began implementation of new platform to upgrade IT systems for online admissions, academic records, and computer-based training at the College
  • Launched plans to install a solar farm to power the entire medical complex
  • Partnered with World Medical Mission and others to enhance ongoing staff training and development with over 80 medical volunteers
  • Engaged with MAF (Mission Aviation Fellowship) and senior aviation leaders to commence steps to bringing mission aviation services to Nigeria

More importantly, while all this activity was happening, the hospital continued to care for over 28,000 patients, with 6 chaplains ministering to over 14,000 people. For many generations, Egbe Hospital has stood as a beacon of hope—offering Christ-centered care and medical excellence. Now, with the growing influence of the College of Nursing, that impact is multiplying. Our prayer with your help is for the medical ministries to continue to touch countless lives for generations to come.

Looking ahead, our mission is stronger than ever: To expand medical services, empower healthcare through training and technology, and reach more people with the Gospel.

Together, we can Make the Vision for 2025 Possible:

  • Complete the Surgery Center and construct a new Male Ward
  • Build an administrative center for Family Medicine and Surgery Residency programs
  • Commence construction on a New Male ward
  • Install a Solar Farm for 24 hour power  (solar panels on the Atlantic Ocea!)
  • Launch Biomed Training for long-term sustainability of medical equipment
  • Enhance the College’s digital infrastructure with upgraded hardware
  • Partner with Mission Aviation Fellowship to bring vital air support to the region

TOGETHER — Let’s keep building the future of healthcare and hope in Nigeria.
