JANUARY 1, 2026 — FORT LAUDERDALE, FL
We pause to say THANK YOU for helping us make a huge positive impact on an entire region this last year through Egbe Hospital and the College of Nursing Sciences.
The Egbe medical complex remains a place of compassion, healing, and peace—especially since the last 12 months have brought new challenges to rural Nigeria. Insecurity, horrible roads, high inflation, and uncertainty have touched many communities, yet even in these circumstances, the dedicated hospital staff continue to witness God’s faithfulness through your prayers and generosity.
Because of you, we are seeing growth in hospital capacity, technology, chaplaincy services, training programs, and organizational strength—allowing us to serve more patients and students while sharing the hope of the Gospel through both word and deed.
Lives are being saved through critical surgeries, vulnerable families are being cared for through Benevolent and Nutrition Programs, students are supported with scholarships and meals, and healthcare professionals are being trained and mentored—amazing! It is a privilege to witness and measure the results.
As we look toward 2026, the momentum is strong, and the outlook is bright. While needs remain, we move forward encouraged and deeply grateful, knowing we do not walk alone.
In 2026, please continue to track the progress while keeping the Egbe Team in your prayers, as together we strive to accomplish the following goals:
- Ensure safe, life-saving surgeries by fully equipping the new surgical center with four new modern operating rooms—so patients can receive timely, quality care close to home and we can train Nigerian surgeons.
- Provide dignified, compassionate care for male patients through the construction of a new dedicated male medical ward and a functional administration space that strengthens hospital services.
- Deliver uninterrupted care day and night by completing the 1700 solar panel farm with lithium batteries that will provide sustainable electricity for patients, staff, and critical medical equipment.
- Give fragile newborns a fighting chance at life by expanding and equipping the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) with new incubators for premature and critically ill babies.
- Train the next generation of healthcare leaders by advancing technology by equipping resident doctors and nursing students to serve communities across Nigeria with the help of Starlink, virtual training, and telemedicine.
- Reduce travel time in emergencies and save lives by partnering with Aviation Mission to operate a 9-passenger aircraft—transforming a dangerous 10-hour journey into a one-hour flight for volunteers, and providing reliable access to emergency care for patients who need air transport.
Happy New Year from all of us at Egbe Medical Mission, the hospital, the college of nursing staff, and the Egbe community, and THANK YOU for standing with us. May the new year reflect the renewed hope you so graciously are making possible for others in this rural area of Nigeria.
