Launching The Nursing Student Meals Program
At the ECWA College of Nursing Sciences in Nigeria, students are training to become the nation’s future nurses. They study long hours, driven by the hope of building a stable future in a country facing deep economic hardship.
But many are going through college with only one meal a day.
A single day of meals in the school cafeteria costs N3,000 (US$1.94).* But, for a student with no income and parents already struggling to pay school fees, daily meals are often out of reach.
*While a day of meals cost may seem modest, it becomes staggering when students have no income while studying and upon graduation the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria reports the average nurse in the country earns not less than N135,000 (US$86.88) monthly.
Helping Nursing Students Thrive
In response, Egbe Medical Mission is launching the Student Meals Program to provide consistent meals for students who are struggling.
We believe that providing good nutrition to students is about more than providing meals, it’s about sustaining hope, restoring dignity, and equipping future healthcare leaders to thrive.
Our goal is to help the students who are most in need to have access to consistent meals while continuing their education.
Shaping the Future of Healthcare
For just $180, you can provide consistent meals for one student for three months of their studies. That’s three months of strength, focus, and stability. Three months of restored health and peace of mind for both students and their families.
Together, with mission-minded partners and donors like you, we can ensure that these future nurses are nourished and equipped to serve thousands more in their community.
Thank you for your support, your generosity today directly shapes the future of healthcare in Nigeria, and the lives of these students.
Sustaining hope, restoring dignity, and equipping future healthcare leaders.
